Quick Look at God’s Plan of Salvation
All have sinned.
There is no distinction to be made anywhere: Everyone has sinned, everyone falls short of the beauty of God’s plan. 1 Sin pays its servants: the wage is death. But God gives to those who serve him: his free gift is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 2 For it is by grace that you are saved, through faith. This does not depend on anything you have achieved, it is the free gift of God; and because it is not earned no man can boast about it. 3
Jesus Christ is the answer.
The proof of God’s amazing love is this: that it was while we were sinners that Christ died for us. 4 To us, the greatest demonstration of God’s love for us has been his sending his only Son into the world to give us life through him. We see real love, not in the fact that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to make personal atonement for our sins. 5
You must receive God’s gift of salvation.
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him should not be lost, but should have eternal life. 6 If you openly admit by your own lips that Jesus is the Lord, and you believe in your own heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 7 Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 8
That’s it. God did it all just for you. So what is your response to the offer God has made in his word? To receive Christ as your Savior you have to take God up on his offer by turning from your sinful life style, asking Jesus to forgive you of your sins, and receive him into your life as your Lord and Savior. Right now, you can ask Jesus to forgive you and come into your life? Did you ask him? If you did invite Christ into to be your Savior and Lord you are a new creation, old things have past away and all things have become new.
For if a man is in Christ he becomes a new person altogether, the past is finished and gone, everything has become fresh and new. All this is God’s doing, for he has reconciled us to himself through Christ; and he has made us agents of the reconciliation. 9
