International Missions Offering
(Lottie Moon Christmas Offering)

Southern Baptist churches collect the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the sole purpose of supporting international missions. Every penny of the offering goes to the International Mission Board’s overseas budget, which supports our missionaries and their work.

During Parkwood’s 2007 International Missions Offering, as in years past, we asked our people to live out 2 Corinthians 9:7, “ Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Our folks were extremely cheerful and gave a total of $222,190 for the 2007 offering.

North American Missions Offering
(Annie Armstrong Easter Offering)

Each year, we honor the life and work of Annie Walker Armstrong (1850-1938) when we give to the annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American missions. As a tireless servant of God and a contagious advocate and supporter of mission efforts throughout the world, Annie rallied churches to give more, pray more, and do more for reaching people for Christ. Every dollar given to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering ® goes directly to support North American missionaries and their ministries.

In 2008, Parkwood folks gave $53,505.10 which went directly to support our North American missionaries.

ActsOne:8 Offering

The ActsOne:8 Mission Offering is a faith commitment. You are trusting God to guide you in determining the amount you are to give . You are also believing He will also provide to fulfill your commitment. According to Hebrews 11:6, God is pleased when we exercise our faith.

During our annual Missions Impact Celebration, you will have an opportunity to pledge toward the “ActsOne:8 Mission Offering.” These pledges are over and above your regular tithes and offerings. This Offering is structured so that 100 % of the proceeds given will be used to further carry out our Missions Strategy. The offering is dis-tributed among the mission ministries and mission partners of Parkwood.

In 2007, we received $ 162,158, which went directly to support PBC missions.
