Children's Ministry

Mission Statement: Partnering with families to reach and teach children in such a way that they become growing followers of Christ.

The Children's Ministry at Parkwood Baptist Church has a desire to see all children experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to grow in Christ and to share that commitment with their worlds.

Our Bible Study Classes encourage efforts and scripture memory utilizing the Bible during Bible study time in age-appropriate classes.

We realize that Bible Study is more than just a Sunday morning activity. It is important that children study God's word at home during the week and that parents encourage their children to come prepared to participate in Bible Study.

During our Sunday morning worship time, graded children have a worship bulletin to assist them in worshipping during that hour. These worship bulletins are available in the Welcome Center.

On Sunday evenings, children can participate in our children's Music Ministry, which is Kidz Praize from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Grades 1-5 meet in Building A and 4 and 5 year olds meet in Building B.

AWANA clubs meet on Wednesday night from 6:15 pm to 7:40 pm. During this time Children are led in Bible study, scripture, games and prayer time. Relationships with Christ are strengthened and nourished.

Yearly, special events include, Christmas celebration, Fall Festival, Kids on Mission, End of Year party and Easter. During the summer, we provide additional activities such as children's camps, vacation Bible school, and fun days.
