Biography
Being raised the only son of a farmer on the Plains of Texas; Jeff
never thought he would be called to the ministry. However, at the age of
nine, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and God began his
work in Jeff's life. He felt the call to full time ministry during his
senior year at Texas Tech University where he graduated with an
Agricultural Economics Degree.
He then moved to Fort Worth, Texas and began studying for the ministry
at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his Masters of
Divinity degree in the spring of 1992. Jeff later went back to school and
the received his Masters in Counseling at Gardner-Webb University in the
spring of 2003.
It was while he was in seminary that he met a pretty young nurse named
Anne Caldwell and was quickly smitten by her. In the fall of 1990 they
were married. Anne, being a vital ingredient to Jeff's ministry, has
assisted him as he served as pastor in two churches prior to coming to
Parkwood, one in Virginia and one in North Carolina. Anne, home schools
their two children Kayla (born 1992) and Colby (born 1995). She is also currently
serving as head of the Women’s Ministry at Parkwood.
I love serving the Lord at Parkwood. It is an honor to serve among such
a great group of believers.
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily
ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy
that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has
sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. -- Hebrews 12:1-2
