Biography
 

Jeff Long grew up outside of Hickory, NC.  He came to faith in Christ as a teenager and was called to ministry while a senior in high school.  After one year at Wake Forest University, he became the Youth Minister at Mt. View Baptist in Hickory at the age of nineteen. He then transferred to Lenoir Rhyne College where he graduated with a degree in English and Secondary Education.

Upon graduation he married the former Celeste Ramsey of Hickory.  After two years of full-time ministry at Mt. View Baptist as Associate Pastor, he accepted the call to serve as the Youth Pastor at Parkwood Baptist Church in Gastonia. 

After the retirement of Dr. Ned Mathews in 1999, he was called as the Senior Pastor at Parkwood where he serves today.

The Lord has blessed Jeff and Celeste with four wonderful children; Jacob (born 1995), Anna (born 1997), Mary Claire (born 1999), and Andrew (born 2001).

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.
