Membership

Becoming a member of Parkwood Baptist should not be looked at as a mere formality. On the contrary, membership should be viewed as a very meaningful step of uniting in agreement with this group of believers to share a common faith and ministry.

Membership Responsibilities:

• Faithfully participate in Worship and the other on-going activities of the church.
  • Hebrews 10:25a "not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some,..." NASU
     
• Faithfully serve in some capacity to support the work of the church.
  • Ephesians 4:12 "for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;" NASU
     
• Faithfully pray for, encourage, and assist your brothers and sisters in Christ.
  • Hebrews 10:24-25 "and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near." NASU
     
• Faithfully and systematically give of tithes and offerings to support the work and mission of the church.
  • 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." NASU
     
• Faithfully live as an example and witness of Christ in the community.
  • 1 Corinthians 10:31 "Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." NASU
